Calling all Blackfoot Runners...

Welcome to the Blackfoot Runner's Club (BRC). We are a brand new club and looking forward to helping each other reach our fitness goals, sharing expertise and tips, and motivating each other on our quest to make the most out of life.

Recently I ran my first 1/2 Marathon in Salt Lake City and gained a new sense of who I was and what I was capable of. I hope that you will join our club. Whether you are walking (or pregnant), jogging, running or sprinting your way through the finish line, let's get together and inspire each other.

Please email me at mailto:blackfootrunnersclub@gmail.com and I will add you to our blog group.

Can't wait to see you Saturday @ Jensen's Grove. 7:00 AM!

Adrienne's SLC 1/2 Marathon!

After sixteen weeks of training and 255 miles in my old running shoes I ventured to Utah to run my first 1/2 marathon. I was so excited and nervous the night before that I could barely sleep! It was fun and hard, but I did it! I crossed the finish line at 2:20:46, and I highly recommend and challenge anyone who is interested in running a race of any length to give it a try! There were 12,000 runners on Saturday, and it was awesome to see everyone's hard work pay off. Believe me, when you hear the crowd cheering you in to that finish line, no matter how exhausted you are, you'll feel like you've sprouted wings!

Running with a partner is both fun and motivating for me. These pics are of my friend Allison and I running the 1/2 together and then at the finish!

BRC Runner's

  • Erin

Erin is new to running and started as a way to get back into shape. She has run a 5K, a 4-miler, and recently ran the SLC 1/2 Marathon. Although she isn't running for speed or to break any records, she is proving herself to be stronger than she thought.

She is the mother of 2 and hopes to set an example for her family of fitness as a way of life. Her goal is to lose 10 lbs before her next race, a 10K in June. Wish her luck!

  • Yeehaw

  • Yancey Family

Adrienne started running a couple years ago because a friend convinced her that she could do it and might eventually even like it! She has run a 5K, a 10K, and most recently her first 1/2 marathon. She never, ever, EVER thought that she could run for 2 hours and 20 minutes without stopping nor did she think she would ever want to, but now she is hooked.
She has an 8 year old son and a 6 month old daughter and she hopes to add one more to the family in the next couple of years. In the mean time, her goal is to stay active and be FIT. Her next race is the Homestead 1/2 in Midway, UT on May 24th.
